The Black Stallion

“In the entire history of movie posters, only a handful of artists have managed to carve a niche for themselves with unique and readily identifiable style. Bob Peak is one of those few. As it happens, his signature approach proved to be equally effective in promoting a wide variety of pictures, ranging from science-fiction films to musicals. But in each case, savvy film fans knew they were responding to Bob Peak artwork. In my mind, his images for great movies of the 1960s, 70s, and beyond are inseparable from the films themselves.” Leonard Maltin, American film critic and historian

More Details Below

Both the rolled canvas, and gallery wrap, canvas Giclées are made by using 100% cotton 8oz canvas, double primed with acrylic, acid-free gesso.

Our gallery wrap canvas Giclées also feature high quality 1.5 inch stretcher bars that we mill ourselves. Each stretched canvas is folded at the corners and is splined, resulting in a tight, even stretch. We use the tuck-n-roll, staple-less, method which uses a rubber spline pressed into a groove running through the back of the stretcher bar frame. The canvas can also be disassembled and re-stretched in the future with little trouble.

The paper poster print Giclées are made using Archival Art Paper. We use exclusively Epson printers with water based and solvent inks. These prints are environmentally friendly and made to last.

Please allow 7-10 business days for order processing prior to shipment.
